About King Crimson
One of the typical King Crimson motifs in its complex and sophisticated music is instrumental breaks in the songs. After a nearly-standard part with lyrics and regular beat, the group members break out with a sometimes-long instrumental piece, rhythmically complex, usually very fast, as in the famous song from their first album 21st Century Schizoid Man. King Crimson would often compose passages difficult to play together as they are for each individual instrument.
